Mo came to SCT after many years of drug and alcohol addiction. He had experienced many challenges in his life, and often found it difficult to express himself in English, which was his second language.
He moved into Acorn House, our residential recovery hostel and began his personal recovery programme.
Despite his diffuclties with English, he began the computer training course at the New Hanbury Project. As his knowledge and confidence with computers grew, he became familiar with computers and gained some useful employment skills.
A big turning point came when he managed to connect with his family online using social media skills learnt through New Hanbury's IT course. He had not spoken with them for over 20 years.
Now back in contact with his mother and father, he recently told us that he was so excited to tell his parents how much his life had turned around.
