Acorn House is a recovery support centre that specialises in the recovery and rehabilitation of alcoholic men and drug users who have been homeless. We are an integral part of the registered charity Spitalfields Crypt Trust.

Our hugely effective programme is designed to enable an individual to improve the quality of their life and develop effective living and social skills in order for them to live independent and self-determining lives. Our programme is abstinence based and incorporates group therapy sessions, individual counselling and key working and draws heavily on the principles of the 12 step programme.

Acorn House is a 16 bed hostel, opened in 2002 and located in Shoreditch, East London. It is part of the Spitalfields Crypt Trust, an organisation established in 1965 to provide residential care and rehabilitation for homeless men with alcohol problems.

Opening Times
We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Volunteer Cooks Needed!

What we could really do with right now, is for a dozen or more local people to offer to help us by becoming volunteer cooks! Could you be a volunteer, coming once a week or once a fortnight? Residents’ eating together is great for building a sense of community, and if someone could cook for the residents whilst they are trying to sort their lives out attending courses and treatment centres, it would be such a great help.
