Choices

Relapse prevention is a big part of our work. For people in the later stages of recovery, our peer-led recovery community, Choices, helps prevent relapse by providing social, cultural and therapeutic events by people who are themselves in recovery.

Choices is a diverse community of people in recovery from addiction. Members attend Choices to connect with others and build a support network, gain confidence, try new things and support their recovery. We run creative projects where the community work together over a number of workshops and wellbeing sessions to support positive mental health and wellbeing.

Choices groups meet twice a week, and we ask that our members participate in at least one activity per week.

What's on

Wellbeing Wednesdays

An hour together, 2pm – 3pm

Get to know the community by sharing, listening and being. Each week a different theme will be chosen, discussed and shared. It is a confidential and supportive space and a chance to grow connections and support networks.

Movement hour, 3:00pm – 4:00pm

Every week we will offer a space to embody and further reflect on the themes that emerged during the first hour, providing an opportunity for expression and understanding of each other’s experiences.

Fridays

Creative projects and a meal together

In the lead up to Christmas, Friday’s timetable is going to be:

• 26th November from 2pm – Games afternoon
• 3rd December from 2pm – Pom pom making
• 10th December – TBC
