Spitalfields Crypt Trust

Relapse prevention is a big part of our work. For people in the later stages of recovery, our peer-led recovery community, Choices, helps prevent relapse by providing social, cultural and therapeutic events by people who are themselves in recovery.

Our services are currently suspended or adapted due to Covid 19. Please click for more information and updates. We hope to see you soon!

The idea is to give people the tools to support themselves and each other.

Choices runs a weekly club, where people can take part in group and one-to-one therapy, activities such as cooking and eating together, as well as ‘Give It A Go’ sessions which include life drawing, yoga and meditation. People also have a chance to attend a fortnightly Film Club and go on field trips to great places (such as the theatre or museums).

This group is open to people in Hackney and neighbouring boroughs.

“The Friday night social at SCT gives me somewhere to go. Just a safe place to come where people aren’t drinking or using, taking drugs.”

— A regular at Choices.
